As from Wednesday June 13th 2007 at 10 a.m. Norid will accept applications for numerical domain names. Up until Friday June 15th at 4 p.m. these applications will be accepted and put to the side. Then the application system will be closed. Duplicates where the same organization has applied for the same name are then eliminated.
On Monday June 18th the Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority will carry out a draw to determine the sequence in which applications for the same name will be processed. Norid will then process the applications in the order decided. The system will open for ordinary reception of applications on Tuesday June 19th at 10 a.m. These will be processed on a first come first served basis.
With a few exceptions applications for other domain names will be processed as usual during the transition period.
